Day 06: Bad Hönnigen to Koblenz#
Passing Vineyards#
We left Bad Hönnigen in the morning heading for Koblenz. Along the way we passed the first set of vineyards of the Rhine Valley. For me, this was going to be the most exciting part of the trip. I had always wanted to go and see the region with its many castles and vineyards.

Arriving in Koblenz#
We reached Koblenz at around 13:00 where we had lunch at a Syrian restaurant. I’ve never had the cuisine before, but it was a phenomenal experience. We both got ‘Syrian pizzas’ that consisted of spinach, cheese and walnuts. We found the restaurant when wandering through Koblenz’s industrial park.

Afterwards, we headed for the centre of Koblenz where we had three groß beers. Our campsite was 10km outside of Koblenz and we arrived at around 16:00. However, as the previous campsite had no electricity we needed to head back to Koblenz to charge our phones. We found a ‘cheesy’ pub with a pool table and table fußball. We stayed here until the last bus back to the campsite. By the end we had several beers and even a falafel wrap!
