Day 02: Utrecht to Arnhem#
Utrecht city centre#
We started the day out in Utrecht where we got a coffee, pastry and a spanakopita for the road.

Utrecht is bleeding lovely! It has a gothic cathedral (the Domkerk) which you can see above. The city centre consists of a series of canals which have two tiers, the street above the canal and the cellars below (near the water surface). These were traditionally used for storage in the middle ages and are now host cafés and bars.

Cycling out to Arnhem#
We then cycled ~60km to Arnhem towards the border of Germany. Along the way we passed through several villages /towns and Urechtse Heuvelrug National park eating our Greek pastry along the way.

We ended up outside Arnhem in the ‘rolling hills of the Netherlands’. We were by the Rijn where we had met the Eurovelo 15.

Tomorrow we will be in Germany where will get the train from Kleve to Köln.
